I will be appearing at two cons in the coming fall. One is a local con that is being set up at the Barnes & Noble at VCU in Richmond, VA on Oct. 25 and then I will be appearing at Nekocon in Hampton Roads, VA November 6-8th.

Now the big announcement...


I am getting married this October 30th to my fiance of 7 years.We've been waiting quite some time, wanting to make sure that we were certain we were right for each other because we knew that we would have to get once chance at this marriage thing. So finally after 7 years of knowing each other and 5 dating and 1 engaged, we are finally making it official and going through with the ceremony as well as the paperwork. We are having the ceremony done in high steampunk style.



...There are even going to be chocolate gears on the wedding cake.

....and occasionally, it wears pants.

I've been noticing lately, that there is a lot of skin on DA. Every time I sign on, I find that someone has uploaded a yet another naked girl photo.

First of all, I am not a prude.

Many of them seem to be interesting young ladies, and most all of them quite beautiful. But they would equally be beautiful with their clothes on. I find more and more of the "naked girl/naked breasts" are becoming Daily Deviations.
I have nothing against the female form at all. As an artist, I can enjoy it even if I do not particularly take part in its pleasures.

More and more, I see photography taking up large portions of the front page, and more and more I see nudie pictures taking up a decent portion of the photography portion of the front page. Some whole galleries are taken up with mostly nudes and one or two exceptions.
Particularly worrying are the galleries that are nothing but the artist herself with no clothes on.

I'm hoping to see an upsurge of good artwork that is non nudes... perhaps with the coming fall and winter, the ladies will choose to put on some clothes.

I will be appearing this Friday with the DFC in the Otakon artist alley. I am hoping that I have a least a few fans who might come by and see me, having read this. If so, I am looking forward to meeting you and I hope I live up to your expectations.

Art Camp was a success. It got a bit off track with a couple of schedule changes that set the tone more for fun than for the instruction we were hoping for. I seriously hope everyone had a good time and will attend again. New ideas for possible instructive things to do at next art camp will be most welcome.
